Tips When Finding (Source: Unknown) 1. Check to see if the dog is microchipped at any local vet clinic. It's free. Most dogs that I find don't wear a collar and have a chip or none of the above. 2. Post flyers in the area. 3. Post on www.petfinder.com 4. Craigslist lost and found pages (please give very minimal description and be sure owners clearly and accurately identify the dog before releasing them). 5. Az. Lost Dogs on fb. 6. Straydar. on fb. If you absolutely cannot keep the dog: You may also contact Animal Care and Control: 7. 602-506-PETS(7387) If you have to turn in a dog or cat to Animal Control, please ask for the tracking number that starts with the letter "A" and kennel number if possible from the person at the shelter. This is to track where the dog or cat is. If the rescue place (whichever one you contact) has space open up hopefully that rescue place can pull them from county at that time. Arizona Humane Society (you will need to make an appointment): Other Rescues: For emergency or injured stray situations: To request an ambulance for a sick or injured stray animal or an animal in distress, call 602.997.7585 ext. 2073. Services are free and available daily from 8am to 7pm. If you lost a dog or cat here are some tips. 1. Drive around your neighborhood.
